The Listening Room

Privacy

Last updated 19 October 2026

The Listening Room is a small record shop and listening room. We keep as little about you as we can, we never sell it, and there are no ads or trackers here.

Without signing in

You can browse, search and play records without an account. A few things are saved only in your own browser so the site remembers you next time:

These never leave your device and you can wipe them any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

If you sign in with Google

Signing in is only needed to post in Threads, reply, or press "felt this". When you sign in, we receive from Google your name, profile photo and email address. We store:

If you post as "Anonymous listener", your name and photo are hidden from everyone else. The site owner can still see which account posted, so that harmful posts can be dealt with.

Accounts and posts are stored with Supabase, our database provider. We don't share them with anyone else, and we never use them for advertising.

Other services the site uses

To show and play music, your browser talks directly to these services. Each has its own privacy policy:

Some shop links (for example to Tokopedia, Shopee or Discogs) may earn us a small commission if you buy something. That never costs you extra, and those shops handle your purchase under their own policies.

Deleting your data

You can delete any thread or reply you wrote, right from the site. To delete your whole account and everything you posted, email maynardert2@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, and we'll remove it within 30 days.

Age

Threads are for people aged 13 and over, in line with Google's own account rules.

Changes

If this page changes, we'll update the date at the top.
